"The Weekend Question" Back to the Comic
Everyone on the planet dreads the co-worker question "How was our weekend?" It is the lowest form of conversation, and clearly meant to be filler while waiting for the coffee to brew. But almost by magic, when asked on any day other than Monday, the question changes from small talk into something jarring, confusing and sometimes mildly offensive. You forget what day it is, what you were doing over the weekend, and wonder why the person asking is just now getting around to caring about your weekend.
"The Weekend Question" changes depending on the day of the week it is viewed, in order to convey the increasing inappropriateness and confusion of being asked how your weekend was as the week goes on. The first and last panels are constant, as regardless of the internal turmoil you feel, you'll always answer "Fine" rather than beating Chaz to death with a stapler.
Below are the seven variants of the comic.
